Today's craigslist post isn't an individual listing--it's an ad for yet another Warmington development on the island.

Silly me. I thought there were enough homes for sale in the "high-$700,000s" around here already.

Many of the residents in this area of central Alameda actually welcome the development of these homes. If you have ever toured the Grand Marina area, you would see that it is underdeveloped and marred by blight, drifters, graffiti, criminal activity, lack of legitimate businesses, and very little City services. Hopefully, the Warmington Homes will bring new hope and life into an overlooked neighborhood of Alameda.
