Best buy--2023 Buena Vista Avenue, Alameda, CA
This home recently came back on the market with new agents (MLS #40332458) but the old price of $749,998 (well, the old price minus $2):

I toured this house when it was on the market a year or so ago, listed by Tisa Beene, and it was so unappealing I didn't even write down my home tour notes. I do remember the following (note the owners may have remodeled everything, and so these comments may not apply):
The sale history is unremarkable:
Update 6/5/08: Price reduced to $699,000.
Update 8/29/08: Sold for $695,000. I almost feel sorry for the buyer.
- the downstairs unit with entrance to the left of the building is a dump
- there's another partially finished unit in the basement, with the entrance to the right, that's not really livable; it's got one or two rooms with some flooring, but an unfinished bathroom with shower, and concrete floors all over
- the upstairs unit looks and smells old and cheap. There are two "bedrooms" in the back that feel like an old sunporch was converted for habitation by very small humans.
